So… 20 years ago today (9/11), I was living in NYC.
My boyfriend and I had just put down money on an apartment in Manhattan the Friday before (9/7), and had dinner plans with his cousin and friends at Windows of the World at the top of the North Tower for Thursday (9/13).
He worked for Bear Stearns (MetroTech/Brooklyn location) and his cousin and all his buddies worked for Merrill Lynch. Thankfully, his cousin had a morning appointment and wasn’t in Manhattan. By the end of 2001, we had moved to Richmond, Virginia and I got involved in the Republican Party. 20 years and 7 states later – here I am, back home. #LoveLeeNC #EsseQuamVideri
